Our program from grade 8 to 9, aims to create a smooth transition into High School and maximize student engagement. Courses for grade 9 to 12 provide opportunities for enriched learning, critical thinking and the ongoing development of literacy and numeracy skills.
All subjects are taught to the highest level offered. Acceleration is facilitated and supported for students who are advanced in Languages and Mathematics.
Students continue their study of English, Mathematics, Science and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE). In addition, students undertake the mandatory courses in History and Geography.
Every course is designed to meet the needs of individual students through program flexibility, enabling both enrichment study and individual course modification where appropriate.
Our program makes sure students are well prepared for post secondary education.
Our Classes
High school provides broad based, comprehensive education that promotes independence and contributes to the development of the student.
Learning hours are from 8:30 am to 3.30pm. After school extra-curricular activities are available for children, from 3.30pm until 5pm. March break and Summer Camps are also available at an additional cost.
Small Class Size
It has been proven that students learn faster and perform better in smaller classes. A class size of fewer than 20 students often results in more individual attention, increased participation, and better communication between the instructor and students.

Sport Program
QGA recognizes the important of developing well-rounded individuals – and sports are a crucial contributing factor! Our athletic program requires each student to participate in weekly sports, whether that’s swimming, hockey, Martial Arts, or basketball. Anything that gets the body mooooving!
Music Program
Here at Queens Gate Academy, we believe in the power of music and what it can do for students’ education. Our music program promotes creativity, growth, and discipline as students get to experience different elements of music. We believe that music is essential in the educational and social growth of our students.
Extended Day Program
Before and after school program is available to help with flexibility in parents schedules, or if you want more for you child.
